Suit Up & Be Civil is an event unique to UMD ASCE. It is an opportunity to connect with current students, industrial leaders, and top academic engineering faculty members.
In 2024, the UMD ASCE student chapter hosted the 10th annual SUBC where 350+ students, professionals, and faculty came together for a networking event and three-course meal.

Randy Clarke is the CEO and General Manager of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), where he heads up the third largest metro system in the country.
Prior to this, he served as President and CEO of Capital Metro in Austin, Texas and various roles in Boston’s MBTA. Fun Fact: Randy does not own a car, he is a daily Metro rider! |
